Analysing 3 Depict films

I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of the Depict films on the 2014 shortlist as each told their own unique story in under 90 seconds which is an extremely hard thing to do.
However the 3 I enjoyed the most were:

La ForĂȘt Sauvage:

I thoroughly enjoyed this one due to it's sheer contrast from the rest of the other entries, I feel that the story for this one is much more gripping and almost has a tense feel to it. I also enjoyed the fact that the film was able to put across a serious situation when using puppets which is no easy task at all. Especially in a time frame of 90 seconds. Furthermore the background music really did suit the scene and helped to raise tension as the farmer looked to recover the money. I would personally like to watch this short on my own accord not just due to the fact that I had to, it was that good.

Webbed:

I enjoyed Webbed due to the fact that it portrays the story of most young boys' childhoods, dreaming that they are the blessed ones who have superpowers. My favorite part about this short is due to the fact that the man who is clearly a fan of superhero movies allows the young boy to feel like a superhero by acting out that he's caught by the young boys spider web. Also I feel that it was really well shot with the 'ordinary' people being out of focus the majority of the time and the young 'superhero' being in focus which shows he has more authority.

Carpark:

The reason that I have selected Carpark as one of the three in which I enjoyed the most is due to the fact that it was able to get across a really funny and enjoyable comedy within a short amount of time. I also enjoyed the fact that the person who made the film was able to show a bit of the two characters personalities over such a short amount of time, which once again isn't an easy task. However I did not enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed the other two due to the fact that I personally enjoy watching clips with a more deeper story.
